Huiyi was first trained to be an environmental designer for her bachelor degree of science then gained her master degree in jewellery design. After graduation, she was involved in exhibition design and commercial interior design, but found that her heart belongs to jewellery. She has been working on the jewellery making bench since 2003, and have since become internationally qualified with the following professional boards:
GIA Graduate Gemmologist (US) with GIA scholarship ;
GIA Accredited jewellery Professional (US);
Professional Optical Diamond Setter (Belgium);
MA in jewellery Design (UK);
GIA Graduate Pearls (US).
To ensure the high quality and uniqueness of each piece of handmade jewellery, each year, Huiyi hand picks gemstones from ethically responsible and reliable suppliers around the world. After each gemstone is carefully examined and studied under a gemmologist's microscope at Huiyi's studio in the UK, she precisely sets individual stones with her skilful hands under a jeweller's microscope in her well-equipped studio.
David comes from a fine art, illustration and design for print background.
Slowly David and I have developed a continually expanding collection consisting of over 350 pieces of handmade jewellery. We love working creatively with our customers, so if you have an idea to create your own piece of jewellery, we are only a message away. We aim to get back to you within one working day.
We recycle as much precious metal as possible at our studio. When limited by the equipment we have, we send it to a trusted refiner for recycling.
All the materials we use are conflict free and the precious metals are nickel free.http://www.facebook.com/byHuiyiTan<
